Building climate-literate communities across Cameroon
Soft Power Global was founded to close a gap: young people and women across Cameroon were living the daily realities of climate change and social inequity, yet remained largely absent from the rooms where decisions were made.
SPG exists to change that by building climate-literate communities, training the next generation of advocates, and ensuring that African voices, especially those of women and youth, shape the global climate conversation.
By 2063, Soft Power Global envisions millions of youth and women leading transformative initiatives that advance social equity, climate justice, and sustainable development in their communities and beyond.
Soft Power Global exists to empower youth and women to lead in advancing social equity and climate justice by providing education, resources, and platforms for advocacy, ensuring their voices shape equitable and sustainable futures.
Equip youth and women with the knowledge, skills, and leadership training to become effective advocates for social equity and climate justice.
Promote inclusive policies and amplify the voices of women and youth in local, national, and international decision-making processes.
Support grassroots initiatives that strengthen community resilience to climate change through inclusive participation and sustainable practices.
Open to all who are willing to advance climate justice and social equity, regardless of background.
SPG is a non-profit and non-governmental organisation.
The organisation does not engage in discussion or activity based on tribal, ethnic, or religious affiliation.
Programming is designed and delivered by the constituencies it serves.
Soft Power Global is established and governed under Cameroon's Law No. 90/053 of 19 December 1990 on Freedom of Association, and is listed in Cameroon's national CSO database for climate change.
SPG is headquartered in Yaoundé, Centre Region, and may establish regional or international representations as needed.
SPG is directed by three organs: the General Assembly, the supreme decision-making body composed of all members in good standing; a five-member Board of Directors (President, Vice-President, Secretary General, Treasurer, and Programmes Director) serving four-year terms; and an Executive Directorate responsible for day-to-day technical management.
